Lantern Parade Preparations

On Monday 24th November, 30 children created lanterns for the Liskeard Lights Up Parade next Saturday evening. Big thank you to local artist Mark who spent the day teaching and working with the children. Everyone worked so hard and used so many SECRET skills to 'get involved', 'go for it finish it' and 'use their imagination' to create brilliant lanterns!

Thank you Mark! We are looking forward to showing them off on Saturday!

During the day, children learnt step by step how to build the lanterns.  There were three main joins to creat the lanterns.  Each join needed to be carefully supported with masking tape to make the joins strong.  After, the lanterns were covered with a type of paper and a mixture of pva glue and water.  We look forward to seeing them on with the lights in the dark!
