On Monday 12th October, Valency Class had a brilliant day exploring Ancient Egypt. They started the day by reading an Egyptian story before welcoming a very special visitor, who had recently returned from a trip to Egypt. They shared a range of fascinating artefacts, photographs and videos, and told us all about their experiences. They learnt about the process of mummification and used their instructional writing skills to mummify tomatoes! In the afternoon, they created self-portraits and transformed into Egyptian pharaohs. They also produced beautiful landscape paintings inspired by Egyptian sunsets.

It was a fantastic day full of SECRET skills – setting a challenge, go for it finish it and using imagination.
