With Mrs Grinsted, Mrs Hill and Mrs Smith

Welcome to the Spring term!
In the EYFS class we are learning all about ice and snow. We have begun our new topic by exploring how ice is made and how it can melt; we have used ice eggs with tiny dinosaurs inside to understand how it all works. Later on in the term we are going to be learning what it is like to live in a really cold country and finding out  all about the Arctic and Antarctic. To get creative, EYFS will be making their own delicious ice lollies and designing and making an ice decoration of their own. As well as all of this excitement, our role play area has be transformed into a theatre so that the Reception Class can put on their very own performances!

During the second half of the spring term, EYFS children are finding out about animals from around the world. We will be exploring each continent and learning about the animals that live there. Our role play area has been transformed into a vets surgery which will provide plenty of opportunities for creative play.   Forest school will continue which will include camp fires and den making!
