Healthy Cornwall Visit - teeth

On Friday 17th November, Healthy Cornwall visited our Reception, Year One and Year Two classes so that they could learn about oral hygiene. They discussed why brushing is so important and the class was able to practice their technique on a giant set of teeth! They also spoke about how the foods we eat can affect our teeth and found out how much sugar is in some popular drinks and snacks.

To discuss this learning, you could ask your child to: Tell you about why brushing our teeth is important? To show you, at bedtime and in the morning, how much toothpaste they need on their brush? Or maybe you'd like to use an app, such as Brush DJ to make brushing fun? For further information, please visit the NHS Livewell website under the subheading ‘Healthy teeth and gums’.
